Fnaf Funny and Scarymemes Fnaf Funny and Scary Memes
The Five Nights at Freddy's fandom is alive and well, and with every new game comes a fresh batch of memes. It seems even a dark and often gruesome horror franchise can't escape the clutches of the internet's industrious memesmiths. From "I Baked You a Pie" to new content related to the wildly popular Among Us game, it just never ends. And, honestly, the world is better for it.
With such a whirlwind of FNaF memes out in the wild, it's difficult to find the great ones that might stand the test of time. Hilarious and viral memes are few and far between, and sometimes it takes a curated collection to experience the best.
Updated February 1, 2022 by Mark Sammut: Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach came out towards the end of 2021, garnering a mostly positive reception. As the franchise approaches its ten-year anniversary, FNaF has undoubtedly proved that it is more than just a flash in the pan. The series has amassed a significant fanbase that not only enjoys playing the main games and spin-offs but is deeply invested in the lore. Naturally, the license's enduring popularity means there is a constant stream of new FNaF memes coming out, most of which are hilarious.
14 Chica's Pie Is A Lie
In Five Nights at Freddy's 2, players see a newly redesigned Chica. This new, revamped Toy Chica haunts the main hall of the new and improved Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Accompanied by her trusty cupcake, she comes with supposedly good intentions, simply taunting the player with her beloved confection.
This meme takes that to the next level by combining it with the "I Baked You A Pie" memes from Tik Tok. Does this mean Toy Chica has access to the internet? Is she using memes to kill innocent security guards now?
13 Funtime Chica Forever
As the character list of Five Nights at Freddy's grows and new evolutions of the animatronics appear, discourse thrives in the community. Some prefer the older animatronic models while others carve out a soft spot for the newer ones. In this case, Funtime Chica buries the old Toy Chica so she can live on forever. She's everyone's favorite, right? Well, she's the newest generation at least.
The meme harkens back to a behind the scenes photo from the Arrowverse crossover. The Flash, played by Grant Gustin, throws a peace sign over the grave of Oliver Queen. The internet only needed one glimpse of this image to make a million memes out of it.
12 Infinite Death
In the animated film Coraline, the father spends his days wasting away in front of a computer, writing his next big story. It didn't take much time for the internet to find this particular scene and make a meme out of it. Coraline pokes fun at her dad, asking if he's winning. On the screen is none other than Vanny during her kill sequence shown in the Security Breach trailer.
The meme replaces the screen with screenshots from various games and other media. In this case, he's playing the newest installment in the franchise. And it looks like the short answer is no, dad's not winning.
11 Wrong Turn

Memes bring people together. Who has not accidentally walked into somewhere they don't belong? As their mistake sets in, the only thing they can do is awkwardly retread their path while other people stare on in confusion. Hopefully, they do not look quite as threatening as the animatronics in this image.
This meme shows that these types of situations are so common that there is really no need to feel any embarrassment whatsoever.
10 Among Freddy's
Among Us has seemingly taken over the internet, appearing in almost every Twitch stream, YouTube channel, and now memes. Honestly, it was only a matter of time before FNaF fans created this gem. In Among Us, players work together to keep a space ship running, but there's a murderer among them (get it?) that they have to find before the killer gets everyone.
This team is without Gregory, leading Glamrock Freddy to believe it was one of his animatronic pals. Everyone's looking relatively innocent, but Vanny is definitely up to something. Either that or she had a really bad accident with a red marker.
9 Everything Is Cake, Even Freddy
For a while there, it seemed like everything was cake. Videos surfaced all across the internet of people cutting into random objects only to find layers of cake. It sparked a trend with nearly every food channel and eventually became a meme. And as with most memes, Freddy was not spared.
Freddy's looking like a literal snack here as someone's apparently sliced open his face to reveal a rainbow cake. Is that what Five Nights is really all about? The animatronics don't want to hurt the security guards, they just simply want to let them eat cake.
8 They Always Come Back
- Uploaded by Wolfman7
Honestly, this meme delivers quite an accurate representation of FNaF's animatronics. They are deadly robots who will stop at nothing to get their targets, but they also look like big plush toys. On the one hand, they are rather terrifying; on the other, they look to be quite snugly.
Considering the Terminator franchise's confusing timeline and FNaF's convoluted lore, these two licenses seem to be a perfect fit for each other. Terminator Chica even appears in Freddy in Space 2!
7 Sad Springtrap
In Five Nights at Freddy's 3, players got their first look at Springtrap, a horrific monstrosity made up of an old Spring Bonnie suit. In some shots, however, there's something hauntingly sad about Springtrap's face. Fans of the series understand why he might be sad, but even still, it makes for a great reaction image.
That's just what this meme-maker went for with this one. When mom forgets to buy that special something, it's like she forgot about her baby altogether. Does she even love baby Springtrap at all? He's literally dying inside.
Everyone puts on some kind of mask when they go online. Some have multiple masks they shuffle through on each of their social media platforms. Freddy's no different. He appears snazzy and professional on LinkedIn while having fun with friends and filters on Facebook. On Instagram, he shows his artsy side with the band while on Tinder, he's a solo act, baby.
This meme perfectly encapsulates personal headcanon for dear old Freddy. He's discovered the internet and is just making his way in the world.
5 The Horror Is Real... Maybe
These "Gunna Tell My Kids" memes never die. Maybe that's because Pharah from Overwatch is making them. Either way, some of them really do hit the mark.
This meme suggests they're going to tell their kids that Freddy Fazbear's was a real place, using this image. It's obviously photoshopped, but it's good enough to convince a young mind that the animatronics which terrify them were once real. And just maybe they still are. After all, a real trip to Freddy's bound to be a frightfully fun time.
4 It's Complicated
FNaF's gameplay is generally not all that complicated, but the same cannot be said about the franchise's lore. While not a massive focus of every entry, more recent releases tend to dedicate a considerable amount of energy on expanding the show's backstory, with 2021's Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach being a prime example.
Although the franchise's gameplay has evolved over the years, its focus on lore is arguably the main reason FNaF is still so popular. People are simply invested in this universe.
3 Run, Mike, Run
Michael Schmidt is the player character in the very first Five Nights at Freddy's game. While watching the security feeds, the game's main events all take place within the security room. As sneaky animatronics come to life and make their way toward the weary security guard's location, he shuts the door. Failing to shut the door in time results in quite a jump scare.
Bonnie is a particular nuisance in the first installment, consistently patrolling the corridor where the security room is. As soon as she leaves, Mike safely opens the door, hence the meme.
2 Well, If Jason Voorhees Can Do It...
A classic FNaF meme, this joke made the rounds a couple of years ago on Reddit, even garnering a response from Scott Cawthon at one point. This meme proved so popular, it might have inspired the creation of a minigame in FNaF World called "Freddy In Space," which in turn led to a standalone sequel being released in 2019. Not bad for a meme, aye?
At the time of this meme's creation, it played on FNaF's quick turnaround schedule for sequels, along with poking fun at horror franchises like Friday the 13th, Hellraiser, and Leprechaun that eventually went beyond Earth. Counting all the spin-offs, FNaF has now skipped its 12th entry, although the franchise stopped numbering them with 2015's Five Nights at Freddy's 4.
1 Growing Up
The "What Puberty Did To Me" meme is a popular one for sure. Most might assume that there's no way such a meme would make sense using the FNaF universe. Well, they'd be wrong.
For their friends, they use the Marionette's transformation into the Nightmare as a charming upgrade. In comparison, when referring to themselves, they use Springtrap — who unfortunately evolves into an even more terrifying version of himself. So, yes, a bit worse off. Now that is relatable content, fellow animatronics.
